1578-1622 Spanish missionary.
Born November 18, 1578. Dominican priest. Came to Japan in 1607 and preached in various parts of Kyushu. Compiled the "History of the Japanese Christian Church." Due to the ban on Christianity, he was captured in 1612 while hiding in Nagasaki, and executed on August 5, 1613 (Great Genna Martyrdom). He was 43 years old. Born in Valencia.
