Pallas's sandgrouse

...To give water to their chicks, they soak their feathers in water and let them drink it. The Pallas's sandgrouse ( Syrrhaptes paradoxus ) is distributed in central Asia from the Caspian Sea to Mongolia, and will migrate when food is scarce. It has arrived in Japan about 10 times as a stray bird.
