Paradoxurinae

…General term for mammals of the carnivora order, civet family, subfamily Paradoxurinae, with a body shape similar to that of a weasel, but with a pointed snout and long tail. There are five genera and six species in southern Asia, one genus and one species of the Nanjinia (tree civet) in Africa, and the palm civet known in Japan is also included in the palm civet.
