A town in Ashigarakami County in western Kanagawa Prefecture. Spread across the western edge of the Sakawa River alluvial plain and the Oiso Hills, rice and mandarin orange cultivation are thriving. The town also produces sake, soy sauce, and other breweries. The town developed after Dai-ichi Life Insurance built its Oi headquarters in 1968. The Tomei Expressway runs through the town.
