…There are various sizes of organs depending on the purpose of use and the size of the space in which they are installed, but broadly speaking, they can be divided into portable ones and those that are fixed inside a building. The former include the Portativ, which is played with one hand while placed on the lap, the box-shaped Positiv, and the Regal, which has only a reed stop. The latter include small organs with one keyboard and several stops, and large organs with two to five keyboards and a dozen or even more than 100 stops, most of which have a foot keyboard (pedals) that is played with both feet.
