public park

Japanese: public park(英語表記)publicpark
public park

[History of the park]
Ancient Greek and Roman cities had squares, but no parks. Parks with many functions like today's parks were created when large gardens and hunting grounds owned by medieval kings and nobles were opened to the public in response to requests from citizens from the 16th to 18th centuries, and thus public parks were born. Examples of public parks include Hyde Park in London, Fontainebleau in the suburbs of Paris, and Tiergarten in Berlin.
