Objection

Japanese: 異議 - いぎ
Objection
(1) Under civil law, it means expressing opposition to or dissatisfaction with the actions of another person.
(2) In the Civil Procedure Act and the Civil Execution Act, there are various usages, making it difficult to obtain a unified understanding. For example, in the Civil Procedure Act, there are objections to intervention as an auxiliary, objections to the presiding judge's direction of the proceedings, objections to the clerk's disposition, objections to payment orders, etc., while in the Civil Execution Act, there are objections to execution, objections to the issuance of a writ of execution, objections to distribution, etc.
(3) The same applies under the Code of Criminal Procedure, where there are objections to the accuracy of the trial record, objections to the examination of evidence, objections to the disposition of the presiding judge, objections to decisions of high courts, objections to the use of summary proceedings, and objections to the execution of judgments.
(4) Regarding objections under administrative law, there is the right to file an objection against an administrative disposition (Administrative Appeal Act).
