Oneirophrenia

...In Japan, the following three different states are expressed by the term dream state: (1) an epileptic seizure called an uncinate fit, (2) a psychotic state in atypical psychoses such as oneiroide Erlebnisform (German) or oneirophrenia (oneiroider Zustand), (3) onirisme (French) seen in symptomatic psychoses, organic psychoses, hallucinogens such as LSD and mescaline, high fever, hysteria, etc.
[Uncinate seizures]
This is a seizure that originates in the uncinate gyrus, an ancient cortex in the limbic system, and the dreamlike state was named the "dreamy state" by the British physician H. Jackson in 1890.
