Bobinae

…A domestic cattle (bovine) kept around the world for milk, meat, and work. There are European and Asian (zebu) species. Cattle is also a general term for the genus Bos , which includes wild cattle such as the banteng, gaua, and yak, or for the subfamily Bobinae, which includes the bison and water buffalo. In the strict sense, domestic cattle (bovine) range from small ones with shoulder heights of 90 cm and weights of 250 kg or less to giant ones with shoulder heights of 165 cm and weights of 1,450 kg, and although their shapes vary widely, they all share the characteristics of the Bovidae subfamily, which are described below.
