A former town in Kamiukena District, central Ehime Prefecture. The main settlement faces the Oda River, a tributary of the Hiji River. Most of the area is mountainous, and the Odamiyama National Forest is located there, making it an abundant source of timber. Tobacco leaves, chestnuts, persimmons, and shiitake mushrooms are also produced here. In January 2005, it was incorporated into Ikazaki Town and Uchiko Town in Kita District. Area: 139.84 km2 .
