Term insurance - teikihoken

Japanese:
Term insurance - teikihoken

Life insurance with a fixed period of insurance. In contrast, whole life insurance is insurance that does not have a fixed period of insurance and covers the entire life, i.e., until the death of the insured. With term insurance, the insurance payout is paid only if the insured dies during the insurance period, and if the insured survives until the end of the insurance period, the contract expires without any insurance payout. There are individual term insurance and group term insurance. With individual term insurance, the contract contents have been improved recently, with the introduction of an automatic renewal system and a mid-term increase system that allows the insured to receive a medical examination in the middle of the insurance period in advance to increase the insurance payout. Term insurance that increases the insurance payout and premium in line with consumer prices has also been developed. Group term insurance is the most popular type of group insurance, and the insured period is generally one year and is automatically renewed. Term endowment insurance with term insurance is widely used, which combines endowment insurance with term insurance, and pays the maturity benefit at maturity and a death benefit 2 to 25 times the maturity benefit at death.
