...Direct traction (skeletal traction) is a method of applying traction force directly to bones, such as traction using steel wires. Indirect traction (skin traction) is a method of applying traction via the skin surface, using bandages or speed tracks. Other methods include pelvic traction for lower back pain and cervical traction for cervical spondylosis.
