Born on March 16, 1903. Baptized by Uemura Masahisa, he studied under Takakura Tokutarou. After serving at Matsue Church and Sasebo Church, he founded the Igusa Church of the United Church of Christ in Japan in 1947. He became the editor-in-chief of the magazine "Gospel and World" and edited the "New Testament Theological Dictionary." He passed away on June 12, 1958, at the age of 55. He was from Gunma Prefecture and graduated from Tokyo Imperial University. His works include "The Life of Takakura Tokutarou" and "Introduction to the Bible."
