Gold and silver artifacts discovered in 1877 in Oxus, Turkestan (Oxus is the ancient name of the Amu Darya River). In addition to rings, figures, containers, and ornamental metal fittings thought to be from the Persian Achaemenid Empire, the collection includes 1,500 coins from the 5th to 2nd centuries B.C. 1877年トルキスタンのオクサス（Oxusはアム・ダリヤ川の古名）で発見された金銀製の遺物。ペルシアのアケメネス朝のものと思われる指輪，人物像，容器，飾金具などのほか，前５世紀―前２世紀の貨幣1500枚を含む。ペルシア文化の東方波及を示す遺品で，現在その多くは大英博物館の所蔵。
