Fukutaro Okui
1897-1965 A sociologist from the Showa era.
Born November 21, 1897. Became a professor at Keio University in 1927, and president in 1931. Achieved pioneering achievements in the field of urban sociology in Japan. Served as president of the Japan Association of Urban Studies and director of the National Living Research Institute. Died February 16, 1965. Age 67. Born in Tokyo. Graduated from Keio University. Written works include "Modern Metropolises" and "National Land Planning".
