…Both are collectively called lymphocytes that differentiate from ancestor cells called hematopoietic stem cells in the bone marrow, but they are functionally completely different. One is called a T cell, which is a small lymphocyte that enters the thymus (the T in T cell comes from thymus) located in the chest cavity and differentiates under the influence of the thymic epithelium. After passing through the thymus, it is distributed to specific parts of peripheral lymph organs such as lymph nodes and the spleen (thymus-dependent areas).
