Tiglath-pileser I (English spelling)

...The tradition of Assyria's commerce since the 3rd millennium BC was combined with strong militarism in Middle Assyria in the second half of the 2nd millennium BC, and the development of new trade routes was linked to territorial expansion. However, after the death of the kings, except for the military and economic success of Tiglath-pileser I (ruled 1115-1077 BC), who advanced as far as the Mediterranean and Lake Van, Assyria again entered a long period of dormancy, suffering from invasions and oppression by western tribes, especially the Arameans and the eastern mountain tribe Lullubi, and its territory was reduced to a small area around the Tigris River.
