Helmut de Terra and others compared the Kashmir glacial period with the river terraces of this area, and, together with the stone tools found on the terraces, have been used as a standard for considering and classifying the Paleolithic period of this region. The topmost T _D is compared to the Himalayan II glacial period, and large, worn-down rough stone tools, called the Pre-Soan culture, have been found. …
