… Compared to painting and literature, sculpture is difficult to produce, transport, and exhibit, so it missed out on the first cultural boom of the 1890s. As a result, the giants who appeared before and after the 1890s, such as Charles Summers (1825-78) and Rayner Hoff (1894-1937), do not show narrow-minded cultural nationalism.
