Kart

…the native government of Afghanistan under Mongol rule (1245-1389) that contributed to the preservation of Persian culture. Also called the Kart dynasty. The Kurt family was a descendant of a vizier of the Ghorid dynasty, and was the lord of the castle of Haysar in the mountains of central Afghanistan. They cooperated with the Mongol invasion of India in the 1220s and were credited with its military campaign in India.

…In 1956, an American racing car designer created the current model. In 1957, the car was named a Kart and was sold under the product name Go-kart. In Japan, go-karts are generally used to refer to cars that resemble the carts found in amusement parks, so cars used for racing are called racing karts.
