Hébrard, A.

...However, it ceased publication in 1842, but was relaunched in 1861. In 1867, Adrien Hébrard (1833-1914) became editor-in-chief, and the magazine gained a reputation comparable to that of the magazine Les Études du Monde (founded in 1828) due to its high-quality editorial policy. In the early days of the Third Republic, it supported the Thiers government, and continued to oppose the royalists even after Thiers' resignation (1873).
