Jūrmala (English spelling)

...There are six universities, including the National University of Poland, the Academy of Sciences, eight theaters, and an opera and ballet theater. In the vicinity is the resort town of Jūrmala, with its sandy beaches and pine forests stretching into the distance, and in the summer it is crowded with domestic and foreign summer vacationers and beachgoers. In 1974, the city was established as a sister city with Kobe City, and since then, cultural and economic exchanges have been deepening.
