graphology

...Graphology is an academic field that analyzes the geometric features, size, and pressure of written characters to clarify the relationship with a person's mental characteristics and personality, and to distinguish between writers. It is also called graphology. There has been interest in this field for a long time, but the name graphology was first given to it by Jean-Hippolyte Michon (1806-81) of France (1871), and it was theoretically developed by Jules Crépieux-Jamin (1858-1940). In response to this, the German L. Klages established graphology based on a unique philosophical theory that behavior is a manifestation of the inner mind, and that it is important to understand handwriting as a whole.
