One of the ancient Chinese ceremonial vessels. In the olden days, it was made of clay (→ earthenware), but in the Yin and Zhou dynasties, it was made of bronze (→ bronzeware). It is a vessel for heating sake and making a broth of aromatic herbs to go with sake. It is a tripod-shaped vessel with a cylindrical spout, a handle, and a lid.
