Aonegamine - Aonegamine

Japanese: 青根ヶ峯 - あおねがみね
Aonegamine - Aonegamine

...An ancient palace (detached palace) located on the right bank (north side) of the Yoshino River in Nara Prefecture. Originally, Yoshino referred to the fields and mountains on the right bank of the Yoshino River where the Median Tectonic Line runs, and Yoshino Temple (also called Hisoji Temple, Hiso, Oyodo-cho), Yoshino Yamaguchi Shrine (Yamaguchi, Yoshino-cho), and Yoshino Palace were located in this area. According to the Kojiki and Nihon Shoki, there is an article about the visit of Emperor Ojin and Emperor Yuryaku to Yoshino Palace, but it should be considered that it was definitely built in 656 (Saimei 2). On the eve of the outbreak of the Jinshin War, Prince Oama (later Emperor Tenmu) retired to Yoshino Palace for more than half a year, and on May 5, 679 (Tenmu 8), Emperor Tenmu made the famous oath at Yoshino Palace with his empress (later Empress Jito) and six princes including Prince Kusakabe.
