Idas

Japanese: Idas
Idas

...As for his father, it is said that he was either Zeus (the Dioscuri means "sons of Zeus") or Tyndareus, or, alternatively, that after Zeus, in the form of a swan, had intercourse with Leda, Leda also slept with her husband, and that Zeus's seed gave birth to Polydeuces and Helen, and Tyndareus's seed gave birth to Castor and Clytemnestra. After these brothers participated in the Argonaut expedition under Jason, they kidnapped two daughters who were engaged to Idas, the son of their uncle Aphareus, and to Lynceus, and then Castor was killed by Idas, the son of Idas and Lynceus, or because they fought over the division of the cattle they had stolen. Polydeuces, who was immortal at the time, was so heartbroken over the death of his brother that he begged Zeus to let him die with him, and Zeus allowed the two to live in heaven and the underworld, alternating days.
