Father of the 3rd Segawa Kikunojo and the 1st Segawa Joko. A disciple of the 1st Ichiyama Sukegoro. He switched from being a leading actor in Kabuki to being a choreographer, and became the founder of the Ichiyama school. He taught most of the actors in Osaka.
