〘Noun〙 (also "jingonjiki") A Shinto ritual held within the Imperial Court. On the night of the monthly festival on the eleventh of the sixth and twelfth lunar months, a ritual in which Amaterasu Omikami is invited to the Shinkaden, the fire is lit , newly cooked rice is offered, and the emperor himself worships and eats it. 〘名〙 (「じんごんじき」とも) 禁中の神事。陰暦六月と一二月の一一日、月次祭(つきなみまつり)の夜、天照大神を神嘉殿に勧請(かんじょう)して、火を改め、新しく炊いた御飯を供え、天皇みずからこれをまつり、自身も食する儀式。新嘗祭(にいなめまつり)に似ているが、新嘗祭は新穀を用いるのに対し、これは旧穀を用いる。かみあげ。かんいまけ。じんこじき。じんこんけ。《季・夏/冬》※続日本紀‐延暦九年(790)六月戊申「於二神祇官曹司一、行二神今食之事一」
