Ogo [town] - Ogo

Japanese: 大胡[町] - おおご

A former town in Seta County, in the central part of Gunma Prefecture, at the southern foot of Mount Akagi. The city center developed as a castle town and market town, and is served by the Jomo Electric Railway, making it a distribution center for local goods. The town produces rice, wheat, shiitake mushrooms, and vegetables, and also raises livestock. In December 2004, it was incorporated into Maebashi City along with Miyagi Village and Kasukawa Village in Seta County. Area: ^{19.76 km2} . Population: 16,982 (2003).
