Gomorrah

...It was located in the plains of the Jordan, and because of its crimes it was destroyed by fire and sulfur that fell from heaven (Genesis 19). In the Old and New Testaments it is often compared to Gomorrah and cited as an example of crime and God's punishment. The word sodomy (male homosexuality/bestiality) also comes from the name of this city.
