...In the study of ancient records of Baltic mythology, the posthumous work Latvian-Prussian Mythology (1936) by Wilhelm Mannhard (1831-80), author of Latvian Sun Mythology (1875), remains a fundamental text that remains valuable even today. In addition, Moscow linguist Vyacheslav Vsevolodvich Ivanov (1929- ), Vladimir Nikolaevich Toporov (1928- ), and Lithuanian-born archaeologist Marija Gimbutas (1921- ), who lives in the United States, have also made significant contributions to Baltic mythology, incorporating the work of Biezais.
[Influence on future generations]
Although there are no epics in the Baltic countries in the true sense of the word, the Latvian poet Pumpuls left a great masterpiece to posterity in his epic poem "Ráčprēsis" (1888), which features Baltic gods and witches and also incorporates a sun song from the midsummer festival.

…バルト神話の古記録の研究では，《ラトビアの太陽神話》(1875)の著者でもあるマンハルトWilhelm Mannhard(1831‐80)の遺著《ラトビア･プロイセンの神話学》(1936)が基本書として今日も価値を失わない。なおビエザイスの研究を取り入れて，モスクワの言語学者イワーノフVyacheslav Vsevolodvich Ivanov(1929‐　)，トポローフVladimir Nikolaevich Toporov(1928‐　)，リトアニア出身でアメリカ在住の考古学者ギンブタスMarija Gimbutas(1921‐　)もバルト神話学に多くの寄与をしている。
