A mausoleum located in the northwest of Bukhara, Republic of Uzbekistan. It is also called the "Mausoleum of the Samanids." It is the only surviving structure from the Samanid dynasty and one of the oldest tombs from the Islamic period. It was built in the early 10th century and is thought to have been used as the tomb of the dynasty's second prince, Ismā'īl, and other princes. It has an almost square plan of 9.0m x 9.3m with openings on all four sides, a large hemispherical dome in the center and four small decorative domes around it. ウズベキスタン共和国,ブハラの北西部に位置する墓廟。〈サーマーン家の墓廟〉とも呼ぶ。サーマーン朝の唯一の遺構で,イスラム時代の墓廟としては最も古いもののひとつ。建立は10世紀の初期で,同朝第2代イスマーイールIsmā‘īlをはじめとする王子たちの墓所として使われたと考えられる。四方にそれぞれ開口部をもつ,9.0m×9.3mのほぼ正方形に近いプランで,半球形の大ドームを中央に,その周囲に装飾的な小ドームを4基載せる。
