...This aquatic stink bug lives in ponds and swamps, but has thrived in the favorable environment of rice paddies, and is probably named after the fact that it is common in all rice paddies. This species is the largest aquatic stink bug, so it is called the giant water bug in America (it does not exist in Europe). It can kill frogs and fish with one blow, and also preys on other aquatic insects.
