...In addition to this common style, Iranian classical music also uses a unique style in which the mouthpiece is placed completely inside the mouth, one end of the mouthpiece is supported between the upper lip and the upper front teeth, and the breath is blown through the gap between the tongue and the front teeth. In Arabic, the flute is also called qaṣaba, ghaṣba, or quṣṣāba, but these names also mean "reed" in Arabic. The short ney used in folk music is sometimes called shabbāba in Arabic.
