...The descendants of the slaves who were brought from Angola are called Angolares, and are mainly fishermen. The descendants of the free slaves of the abolition era are called forros. Among the new inhabitants, the serviçais are migrant workers from Angola, Mozambique, and the Cape Verde Islands.
