Japanese: Firefly - ふぁいあふらい

It is one of the features included in the Fire Phone, Amazon's original smartphone. It was announced at the same time as the Fire Phone in June 2014. When you press the Firefly button on the side of the Fire Phone, it identifies objects such as books, videos, music, games, daily necessities, and food, and allows you to check detailed information about the product or work. If the product or work is available on Amazon, you can purchase, rent, download, or stream it. There is also a function that reads handwritten or printed phone numbers, email addresses, and URLs, converts them into data, and can use them directly for communication and access.

米国アマゾン社のオリジナルスマートフォン｢Fire Phone｣に搭載された機能の一つ。2014年6月、Fire Phoneと同時に発表された。Fire Phone本体側面の｢Firefly｣ボタンを押すと、書籍、映像、音楽、ゲームソフト、日用品、食品などの対象が識別され、製品や作品の詳細情報を確認することができる。アマゾンで扱っている製品や作品であれば、購入やレンタル、ダウンロード、ストリーミング再生に移ることも可能。手書きや印刷物の電話番号、メールアドレス、URLを読み取ってデータ化し、そのまま通信やアクセスに利用できる機能もある。
