Cloud and thunder pattern - Unraimon

...The designs of cows, tigers, elephants, owls, and cicadas on bronze vessels are thought to represent various ancient deities, and various abstract figures may also have some mystical power. In particular, the abstract animal face design with a large eyeball, called the Taotie design, had its roots in the very early days of bronze vessels, and gradually developed to become the center of bronze vessel decoration. A type of line design called the cloud and thunder design is a background design that makes the Taotie design and bird and animal design stand out, but in older works it actually forms the body of the Taotie itself. These animal face designs and cloud and thunder designs may tell of the emergence of the highest deity or absolute power.
