[Born] Revelation 2 (1622)
[Died] After the 45th year of the Kangxi era (1706), he was the first literati painter of the Qing Dynasty in China. He was from Ningdu (Jiangxi Province) and lived in Nanchang. His style was Fanniu and his pen name was Yun'an. He spent his life as an independent painter, and was skilled in poetry, calligraphy, and painting, as well as tea making. He excelled in landscape painting, and perfected a unique style with his clear brushstrokes and ink colors, and was called the founder of the Jiangxi school.

中国，清初の文人画家。寧都 (江西省) の人で，南昌に寓居。字は飯牛，号は雲庵。一生を在野で過し，詩，書画に巧みで製茶もよくした。山水画を得意とし明晰な筆描と墨色をもって個性的な様式を完成，江西派の祖と称された。
