Its body length is 44-107cm, its tail length 23-44cm, and its weight 3-7kg. Those from Tsushima are about 50cm long and 25cm long. Its body is similar to that of a domestic cat, but its front and back legs are large. Its face is somewhat elongated, and the backs of its ears are black with white spots in the center.
