...A term used by Jung along with "extraversion" to describe the basic attitude of humans. Jung noticed the difference between the theories of S. Freud and Adler, and believed that the same phenomenon was explained by different theories for the two men because their basic attitudes were different, and he established the concept of introversion-extraversion. Extroversion is the tendency for mental energy to be directed toward the outside world, to show interest in external things and people, and to be easily influenced by the outside world, while introversion is the tendency for mental energy to be directed toward the inner world, and to be interested in internal events. ...
