〘noun〙 (translation of golden age) 1. The first of four periods that the ancient Greeks divided human history into: gold, silver, bronze, and iron. An ideal age in which humans were free from all troubles, loved by the gods, and lived in comfort and peace, living in contentment. 2. The most glorious era in a country, nation, or the life of an individual.
