Durnstein (English spelling)

...Willendorf, a small village on the left bank nearby, is where the famous Paleolithic nude female statue called the "Venus of Willendorf" was excavated. Spitz has a beautiful Gothic church, and downstream you can see the old castle of Dürnstein, known as the "pearl of the Wachau." The famous King Richard I the Lionheart is said to have been held captive in this castle during his crusade.
