A story written in the mid-Edo period. 1 volume. A woman who followed her father and barricaded herself in Ogaki Castle during the Battle of Sekigahara recounts her experiences as an older woman, and the name of the writer is unknown. The woman was the daughter of Yamada Kyoreki, who served Ishida Mitsunari, and escaped from the castle with her father just before it fell and fled to Tosa (Kochi Prefecture), where she got married. After her husband died, she was raised by her nephew, and died around the time of the Kanbun era (1661-1673) at the age of about 80. The title "Oamu" probably means "old nun." Although it is a minor piece of information, it is often useful as a reference for the history of colloquial speech.
