Crateromorpha meyeri (English spelling)

...It grows by sprouting irregularly from the side of its body, so the whole thing becomes mesh-like, resembling an arabesque pattern, hence the name. It attaches itself to the surface of the Crateromorpha meyeri , a type of hexagonal sponge found on the seabed at depths of about 400m in Sagami Bay, Suruga Bay, the Philippine Islands, and elsewhere, and is thought to live by obtaining nutrition from sponges.
