〘Noun〙 (transliteration of āgama. Also translated as dharma-gui, dharma-zo, kyoho, kyo, transmission, etc.) A Buddhist term. 1. A general term for the so-called Buddhist teachings preached by Shakyamuni. There are four types: Middle Agama, Long Agama, Increased Agama, and Miscellaneous Agama. Agama Sutra. *The Ten Good Dharma Words (1775) 10 "Agama are an addition to the Tripitaka Sutra and preach the teachings of the Dharma-spatial Mahayana or the teachings of emptiness."
