Enshu Collection Book

Japanese: 遠州蔵帳 - えんしゅうくらちょう

This is the common name for the register of belongings that lists the tools that Kobori Enshu possessed. It is also known by other names such as "Enshu Relics Register" and "Enshu Storehouse Register." Although it is called a storehouse register, it does not only list the tools that Enshu possessed, but also things that he saw and heard, and these have been passed down with additions made over two or three generations after Enshu. In 1938, "Enshu Storehouse Register Encyclopedia" was published, and three popular copies of "Enshu Storehouse Registers" were included in "Collection of Storehouse Registers of Tea Ceremony and Antique Art" published in 1977. 小堀遠州が所持した道具を列挙した什物（じゆうもつ）帳の通称。《遠州遺物帳》《遠州御蔵元帳》などの名でも流布している。また蔵帳とはいいながら遠州が所持した道具ばかりでなく，見聞したものも記されており，遠州以後2代･3代にわたって書き加えられたものが伝来したものである。1938年に《遠州蔵帳図鑑》が出版されたほか，77年の《茶道古美術蔵帳集成》に〈遠州蔵帳〉として3本の流布本が所載されている。【筒井紘一】
