Conseil Constitutionnel

The Constitutional Council is a body of legislative bodies established by the Constitutional Court, which reviews the constitutionality of organic laws and parliamentary rules, as well as ordinary laws and international agreements that have not yet been ratified, to ensure compliance with the Constitution (although the right to review is limited to public authorities and members of the National Diet). Its decisions are absolute and final, and cannot be appealed to any other body.
