Shariraimon

Japanese:
Shariraimon
The title of a chanting piece. It is also called "Sharirei". The lyrics, "Ishinchorei Mantoku Enman Shaka Nyorai Shinjin Shari...", express the intention of worshiping the Buddha's relics, and are chanted in a simple melody, but because the lyrics are short, they are usually repeated three, seven, or fifteen times. There is also a method of chanting by changing the pitch of the chant from the first to the second and third times. Conversely, there are also cases where the chant is read without any fuss. It is used for "Nehan-e" (also called Joraku-e) and "Butssho-e" (also called Birth Ceremony or Nativity Ceremony).
