In 1645, Sweden signed a peace treaty with Christian IV of Denmark in Brömsebro (now part of Sweden), a town on the Danish-Swedish border, in the town of Brömsebro (now part of Sweden), after the Swedish army, led by Lennart Torstensson (1603-51), invaded and swept through the Jutland Peninsula during the Thirty Years' War.
