Japanese: 辞海 - じかい

A Chinese dictionary. Edited by Shu Xincheng, Shen Yi, Xu Yuanhuo, and Zhang Xiangzhu. Published in 1937 by Zhonghua Book Company in Shanghai. Published to compete with Ciyuan. The scope of vocabulary included was expanded to include plays and novels from the Song and Yuan dynasties, and the sources were clearly stated. At the end of the book, there is a table of pronunciations of commonly used characters in Chinese, an index of translated names in Spanish, and other information. There are two volumes and a revised edition.

中国の辞典。舒新城・沈頤(しんい)・徐元誥(じょげんこう)・張相主編。1937年上海の中華書局刊。《辞源》に対抗して刊行。語彙(ごい)の収録範囲を宋・元以来の戯曲，小説にまで拡大し，その出典を明記した。巻末に〈国音常用字読音表〉〈訳名西文索引〉などを付してある。２冊本と合訂本とがある。
